This gorgeous lady is another one of my dear friends. We have known each other since HIGH-SCHOOL, and I'll spare you the details of how long ago that was, haha! But, just know we've been friends for a long time. She and her husband have two of the cutest kiddos on the planet and while dad was away fighting forest fires (THANK YOU to all our firefighters!) we got together and did a little mommy and me session.

Lisa is one of my dearest friends and this is she and her family! We met several years ago when I moved to a TINY town in the middle of Montana and became fast friends. She moved away from that town and a few years later I moved away as well, but we kept in touch and have remained friends. She is part of the mom-squad that I do my girl's trips with every year!
It was SO fun to get to photograph her adorable kids and wonderful husband. Miss you like crazy, Lis!
McKenzie Schindler Photography | Turlock Branding Photographer
This girl!! She is my photography other half, you guys! We met a few years ago (holy crap how has it been so long!?!?!?!) in an online business class. After many many skype meetings, google hangouts, and messages back and forth, I drove to Utah and we did some branding images for her business. You can find her at www.McKenzieSchindler.com
Branding images are SO much more than headshots these days. When I do branding images, I take in to consideration not only what the images will be used for, but the image and "feel" that you want your brand and business to convey. We work together to come up with a plan to create images for your website and social media. These images are not only pretty shots, but they help convey your personality and what you can bring to your customers or clients.
McKenzie wanted shots in the mountains of Utah, and we took a few casual, relaxed photos, a few goofy and crazy photos (social media gold ;) ) as well as a few that are more formal.
My favorites are the photos of her laughing, because they genuinely convey the sweetness and fun of this cute business owner!
Meet Taylor! | Turlock Senior Photography
This session was a year ago!! AACK! I can't even believe it. You guys, I'm playing major catch up, but hopefully seeing the images can give you an idea of the variety of images I get. I had a HARD time narrowing the number of images down for Taylor because she is SO gorgeous.
We started off in Downtown Turlock, which is a location I ADORE! So many fun spots to grab photos!
Then we headed down to the river for some natural shots. This shoot was during the spring of 2017 when AAAAALLLLL the flooding was going on, so we got some amazing shots on the steps with Taylor's feet in the water. I was waist deep in the water, but it was WORTH IT!
Meet Dani! | Ripon Senior Photographer
I've been missing from this little corner of the internet for a bit! But I wanted to share Dani with you and the fun images we got. Dani is actually a Hughson High School graduate, but we decided to go up to Ripon for her session & check out Ripon Army Corps Park. That park, you guys! So many cool spots! We got some urban looking shots with the graffiti and a few shots up on the bridge, we got some by the river and on the trails as well. Seriously, such a great location.
We did hair and makeup in Salida with a great makeup artist, Aneesa. She gave Dani a really natural look with just enough glam for the camera.
Once we got to the park we started under the bridge and got some super cool shots with the graffiti and the pillars.
The rest of the session we tromped around the park and battled a few mosquitos, but ended up with an amazing final result.
Meet Leivy! 2018 Senior | Turlock Senior Portrait Photographer
AAHHHH!!! I'm excited to share these images with you guys! Leivy and I did a session a while ago and I wanted to share when she started her senior year at Atwater High School. I can't even tell you how easy Leivy was to work with. Not only is she naturally SUPER gorgeous and incredibly photogenic, but she is such a sweet person. I loved chatting with her as we ran around the Stanislaus State Campus. And, as you can see from the image overload below, we so many gorgeous shots that it was difficult for me to even narrow them down.
Leivy, I hope you have an INCREDIBLE senior year! And thanks so much for working with me!
Gorgeous Miranda! | Class of 2017 | Central Valley, CA Senior Photographer
Y'all, I have been so out of it this summer! Between my little ones home from school and the heat and the swimming and barbeques and friends and vacations and slurpees (who doesn't love a good slurpee, amiright?) WHEW! So exhausting, but so fun. And I've neglected my biz just a teensy bit. Does this happen to anyone else? Am I the only one who's brain seems to melt in the heat?
AAAAnywhooo...... getting back on track........... I did this session months ago, but I'm just now getting around to blogging about it. I just had to show you this amazing girl, though, because she is so phenomenal. The more I got to know her, the more I just LOVED Miranda. She is one of those girls that is really genuine and authentic and sweet, and I know that she will ROCK THE SOCKS off of her college years. She graduated from Hilmar High School with the class of 2017 and signed with Holy Names University in Oakland and will be playing Volleyball for them. I wish her the absolute BEST!
So................... some of you might not know, but included in the WVP Senior Experience is a wardrobe consultation. A few weeks before your photoshoot, I help you choose outfits that will compliment your personal style AND look amazing on camera. So, I got to rifle through Miranda's closet and we chose 5 or 6 outfits and then we headed to Turlock to shop and get a few accessories. She chose THE CUTEST beach dress as well as an adorable floppy hat that I totally wanted to keep for myself, you guys. How darling is this outfit?
On the day of her session, we were also lucky enough to work with an amazing hair and makeup team as well. HUGE shoutout to Teara and Alyssa, as well as LuxLounge in Turlock for letting us use the salon to get Miranda all glammed up!! Both Alyssa and Teara are so fun to work with and so talented. Check out Teara's instagram HERE, Alyssa's HERE, and LuxLounge's HERE.
After Miranda was all prettied up, we headed up to Knights ferry for her photoshoot! The spring flowers were all over the place and there were so many gorgeous locations. This was my first time to Knights Ferry and it DID NOT disappoint. Such a pretty place. #sorrynotsorry for the picture overload! So many gorgeous ones to share!
At her premiere night, Miranda and her parents opted for my top collection, which includes a gorgeous custom album, a large canvas, a senior slideshow, gift prints, all the digital images, and more. I dropped them off right before her graduation party so that they could be on display for everybody to see and enjoy.
Miranda, thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your senior year. I hope you loved the experience, the photoshoot, and the products. CONGRATS!!
Emily & Richard | Turlock Wedding Photographer
This whole session was so fun! Emily and Richard are so very sweet. We decided to drive from Turlock up to Knights Ferry, and I didn't realize that they'd be riding with me, so i hadn't cleaned my van! As in, my mommy-train mini van. The van with 4,356 pounds of crumbs and old fries and ice cream dribbles down the sides of the seats. The van that has car seats crusted over with spilled soda. Yep..... that van. Niiiiiiiiice. But, they were super nice and we had a great time on the little drive out.
You guys, this couple is the cutest! They were totally up for anything I suggested (smooching photos!! yay!) and even jumped in the freezing cold river for a few images. We climbed up a wall once or twice and stayed until they kicked us out at sunset.
Emily and Richard, thanks for working with me and I am SUPER excited for your August wedding! CONGRATS!
The King Family- Turlock, CA Family Photographer
Oh, my word, friends! It seems I am always behind on a few things in my life, and blogging is one of them. Lately I've been trying to be grateful for the "busy". I had a friend mention the other day that we need to rearrange the way we think about our overwhelm. Sometimes I am overwhelmed keeping up with all the things my kids need. But, instead of wallowing in self pity that I can't keep up, maybe I could be grateful that I have LOTS of house (which makes for lots of cleaning) and LOTS of good food to eat (which makes for lots of dishes), and even LOTS of kids (which makes for lots of happiness and giggles and love).
So, instead of being overwhelmed at the thought of catching up on blogging my sessions, I am going to be so grateful that this adorable family gave me the opportunity to photograph them! They are such genuinely nice people and their kiddos were so incredible for the entire shoot. Not to mention ADORABLE. Grace pulled out all her best poses for me and I loved every minute of it. She is such a wonderful girl! And little baby Charley's gorgeous baby blues just knock my socks off. Can you say heart-breaker?? And little Katie and Ben were so stinking sweet the whole time and both blew me away with how photogenic they are. King family, I just loved working with you and getting to know you a little better!
Almond Blossoms! And a Really Cute Family - Turlock, CA Family Photographer
The past 8 months have involved so much change and craziness for my family and I. We have adjusted to new schools, new house, new traffic, and even new weather! It was such a crazy experience for me to have spring come at the end of February, and to watch all the amazing blooming trees here in California. Up in Montana I was still dealing with blizzards in February. But, I'll take fluttering white flower petals over fluttering white snowflakes this year!
I ventured out in to the orchards with my friend Marian and her amazing family. Honestly, these people are just my kind of people. So much kindness and heart. Their kids are so darling, and are fantastically smart. Plus, their little girl is as spunky and energetic as they come, and it totally reminds me of my own daughter, who I happen to think is pretty fabulous.
Also, thank you so much to Starkey Lucas Farming in Ceres, CA for letting us borrow their orchard for an afternoon. I just loved the way the light filtered through the blossoms. Such a gorgeous backdrop for family photos!
