D Family | Extended Family Session | Turlock Family Photography

Look at this gorgeous blended family! If you live in Turlock, chances are you know them or have gone to school with one of their 11 kiddos!

We did some photos and mom ordered a GORGEOUS large canvas for her wall. I love offering products for my clients because it takes the stress out of the entire process. Especially with canvas prints, the specifications for the edges, the wrap-around, and the dimensions can be a huge headache to get right. If you want prints that look impeccable instead of DIY, give me a call! I take all that off your hands for you. I can extend the edge so that your feet (or head!) doesn’t get cut off and it looks perfect and lasts forever.

At this session we did grandparent photos, individual photos of each kid, as well as lots of different family groupings. If you’re looking for a session with a blended family or an extended family, click that “contact” link and schedule a consultation with Wendy.

Y Family | Turlock Photographer

This fun family was so wonderful to take photos of! I did their son Justin’s senior portraits a while ago, so it was really great to get to photograph the entire family. These three handsome boys were really sweet and it was heartwarming to see how much they love their mom!

We went to Stan State for our location. There’s such a fun variety of buildings and green lawns and places that look really great in the background of family photos.

At our premiere appointment, mom wanted a beautiful canvas for her wall as well as smaller canvases of each of her boys. I absolutely love creating wall galleries for my clients and helping them hang their new photos on their wall to enjoy. I don’t want to just hand you the digitals and leave you on your own in the lonely world of online uploads and printing! Call me and we can create a session where you are supported from start to finish! From wardrobe consultation to session preparation to choosing your photos, printing, and hanging them on your wall.

Beauty Revived 50 Beautiful Mothers | Turlock Family Photographer

Forever ago- Like……. a year and a half ago…….. I was chosen to participate in Beauty Revived’s 50 Beautiful Mothers Campaign for 2018. 50 Photographers are chosen from all over the country and I was one of them! Which was awesome! SO- I got a H/MU artist and put out the call for people to nominate a mom in the area and I knew when I got the nomination for Emily that she would be PERFECT.

We collaborated with Envy Fine Clothing here in Turlock for the clothing (find them at www.envyfineclothing.com ) and Jess Quintero was our fabulous makeup artist. You can find jess on instagram @jqglam.

If you’d like to check out the beauty revived blog and the article that was printed in the magazine, you can check it out here https://www.beautyrevived.com/meet-wendy-vincent-photography/

Kaiser Family | Mommy and Me | Turlock Family Photos

This gorgeous lady is another one of my dear friends.  We have known each other since HIGH-SCHOOL, and I'll spare you the details of how long ago that was, haha! But, just know we've been friends for a long time.  She and her husband have two of the cutest kiddos on the planet and while dad was away fighting forest fires (THANK YOU to all our firefighters!) we got together and did a little mommy and me session.

Kearl Family | Modesto Family Photographer

Lisa is one of my dearest friends and this is she and her family!  We met several years ago when I moved to a TINY town in the middle of Montana and became fast friends.  She moved away from that town and a few years later I moved away as well, but we kept in touch and have remained friends.  She is part of the mom-squad that I do my girl's trips with every year!

It was SO fun to get to photograph her adorable kids and wonderful husband.  Miss you like crazy, Lis!

The King Family- Turlock, CA Family Photographer

Oh, my word, friends!  It seems I am always behind on a few things in my life, and blogging is one of them.  Lately I've been trying to be grateful for the "busy".  I had a friend mention the other day that we need to rearrange the way we think about our overwhelm.   Sometimes I am overwhelmed keeping up with all the things my kids need.  But, instead of wallowing in self pity that I can't keep up, maybe I could be grateful that I have LOTS of house (which makes for lots of cleaning) and LOTS of good food to eat (which makes for lots of dishes), and even LOTS of kids (which makes for lots of happiness and giggles and love).

So, instead of being overwhelmed at the thought of catching up on blogging my sessions, I am going to be so grateful that this adorable family gave me the opportunity to photograph them!  They are such genuinely nice people and their kiddos were so incredible for the entire shoot.  Not to mention ADORABLE.  Grace pulled out all her best poses for me and I loved every minute of it.  She is such a wonderful girl!  And little baby Charley's gorgeous baby blues just knock my socks off.  Can you say heart-breaker?? And little Katie and Ben were so stinking sweet the whole time and both blew me away with how photogenic they are.   King family, I just loved working with you and getting to know you a little better!

Almond Blossoms! And a Really Cute Family - Turlock, CA Family Photographer

The past 8 months have involved so much change and craziness for my family and I.  We have adjusted to new schools, new house, new traffic, and even new weather!  It was such a crazy experience for me to have spring come at the end of February, and to watch all the amazing blooming trees here in California.  Up in Montana I was still dealing with blizzards in February.  But, I'll take fluttering white flower petals over fluttering white snowflakes this year!

I ventured out in to the orchards with my friend Marian and her amazing family.  Honestly, these people are just my kind of people.  So much kindness and heart. Their kids are so darling, and are fantastically smart.  Plus, their little girl is as spunky and energetic as they come, and it totally reminds me of my own daughter, who I happen to think is pretty fabulous.

Also, thank you so much to Starkey Lucas Farming in Ceres, CA for letting us borrow their orchard for an afternoon.  I just loved the way the light filtered through the blossoms.  Such a gorgeous backdrop for family photos!

Model Call!

Hey There!

I'm doing a model call for Turlock, California  and the surrounding areas in Central California.  This is my first year to experience the incredible SPRING here in the Central Valley, and I'd love to capture it with you.

If you are a senior  or a family and you're interested in doing a session with me, please send me your email and head over to my model call page to get all the details.

I am so excited to build my business here in California and I have loved getting to know the people here.  I can't wait to meet more of you and create some gorgeous images together!

Turlock, California and Lessons in Change

If you would have told me a year ago that today I'd be sitting at my computer in the middle of the Central Valley of California I probably would have laughed at you.  I might have even thought you were crazy. A year ago, we were living in a teensy tiny town in Montana, over an hour from the nearest stoplight, but filled with amazing people with huge hearts.  I had a business that was growing, and was happy.

When my husband told me that he had a great job opportunity close to his family in California, I pretty much knew we couldn't pass it up, no matter how much I loved Montana.  But, chaaaaaaaaange. Change is grueling, and hard to wrap my head around sometimes.  I once heard someone describe the feeling of change as being similar to sandpaper across your skin.  You know you're not going to die, but it is uncomfortable and horrible, and the anticipation of the pain can sometimes be what sucks the most.   Over the course of the last year, however, I've come to view change through a different lens.  It can be cleansing.  It can be liberating.  It can push you to become a better, more authentic version of yourself, and it can be a fantastic catalyst for growth.

Our little family packed up and moved across 4 states all the way to Turlock, and I am so happy to be here!  I have made a few changes to my business, including a name change!   I'm so excited about all the new opportunities here, as well as the amazing experience Wendy Vincent Photography is now able to offer clients.   Because of this move, I've not only made positive changes in my business, but it's helped me be so grateful for my little family and the unit we are.  And, if change can help me gain a perspective that contributes to living an abundant life, I say "BRING IT ON".
